“Me and my father, 2020”
I grew up in Grenoble, France, known as the “Alpes Capital” and I learned to ski before I knew how to read. It should come as no surprise then, that one of my preferred activity is hiking, bonus points if it’s in a snowy mountain. I spent most of my week-ends either walking or skiing, and I will always prefer fresh air rather than the suffocating feeling of a crowded mall. This lead me to value causes like green activism and animal rights.

If my grand parents were not taking me on a mountain trip, we would stay home and play cards. I knew what a jack was and when to play it before I learned my alphabet. Most of my family time, even to this day, is spent playing board games, and I visit two of the biggest European board games conventions with my dad every year.
To say that board games are my passion would be an understatement. It’s what’s got me into gaming, and it’s my favorite medium to study the concept of “Play”. We know that games are a great way to teach and learn, and I believe Ludology is the future of media creation.
Creating board game prototypes, alone or with my friends, has been on of the best creative experience of my life.
If someone whips a board game up, I will always be down to play!

I believe in human joy first, it’s why games are so appealing to me. They offer a space where suffering is fleeting but laughs and happiness stays. A space where everyone is welcome, however they want to be perceived, where every loss is a win and every win is shared, and where the only judge is the rulebook.
I’m part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and an advocate for their safety and their rights. Being afraid to share my political views, what I stand for in general, would mean I’m not proud of them.
I found in the board game community one of the most welcoming, warm and passionate people I ever met. It’s a non-discriminatory, tight-knit bunch of nerds, and I spent the last 9 month volunteering for my local non-profit organization, meeting up every Friday for a board game night.
